PROFESSOR ERICA WALDEN

Erica Walden holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Erica was born and raised in Denver CO and began her Jiu Jitsu journey in 2011 while attending CU Denver. Erica has enjoyed competing from the start of her time on the mat- competing before she had her first stripe. She was in an accident shortly after opening the doors to SOLFLO that caused her to put her competitive career on hold while she rehabilitated. It was during this time she fell in love with the teaching aspect of Jiu Jitsu. Now that she is healthy, teaching children is still her favorite thing about her journey, with competing being a close second. Erica is in her 10th year of coaching and loves watching her students grow.

Erica has medaled gold and silver over the years at various promotions which include IBJJF, Fight to Win, Grapplers X and NAGA tournaments at both regular and open weight classes.
